Adelaide Comedy is looking for the next generation of Funny People to join the hilarious list of excellent comics who have come out of Adelaide Comedy. It doesn’t matter if you are a woman or a man, your race colour or creed as long as you can make an audience laugh with your own material we are looking for you. Lehmo, Justin Hamilton, Mickey D, Hannah Gadsby, Amos Gill, Demi Lardner, Georgie Carroll, Jason Chong, Lori Bell, Bec Hill, Michael Bowley and countless others have come out of the Adelaide Comedy scene. Could the next one be You? Each Monday Laugh Lab gives new performers the chance to perform in one of Australia’s most prestigious comedy venues, alongside other up-and-coming acts. As well as some established comedians having a bit of fun. Adelaide Comedy watches the Open Mic’s closely for our next big thing. If you are doing well on Monday nights you’ll get gigs throughout the Adelaide Comedy scene. Established in 2011, we have already had some brilliant & seriously funny acts discovered through Laugh Lab (Formerly One Mic), & in 2013 FOUR out of eight Raw Comedy state finalists were One-Mic crew!
